Is membership to a professional film-related organization a mandatory condition for application?
•    Membership of national and international guilds is encouraged but not a pre-requisite for an application

I am a Nigerian in the diaspora. Can I apply?
•    If you are a Nigerian in the diaspora you are eligible to apply.  You must prove track record of being in the movie profession and – if you apply for the Film Production Fund or the Innovative Distribution Fund your project must be executed in Nigeria.

I am a student of filmmaking and would like to apply for a Film Production Grant. Am I eligible?
•    Only graduated film professionals can apply for a grant or for further training.

I have a film (co-production or not) already started. Can I apply?
•    The application for Film Production Fund is open to film projects at any stage of production, provided proof of funds invested in the project is provided.  This will be verified by an independent consultant to the Fund and will be deemed as part of the applicants’ contribution towards project cost and qualify as counterpart funding.

What is applicable as matching grant?
•    A matching grant is a requirement to access the Film Production Fund and the Innovative Distribution Fund.  It can be in cash or in kind (funds already invested in the project which will be verified by the independent consultant to the Fund).  In the case of cash, evidence of genuine proof of funds should be provided which must be co-invested along with any grant received.  This is a condition precedent to the disbursement of the grant

Since there is equity involved, will the Fund own part of my business/idea?
•    The grant will not constitute equity in the business/project and as such the Fund/Government will not have an ownership interest in the business or project
